1. Security Report
On the Job
This report came from a neighbor on Springdale. While I was walking the dogs on New Years Eve (afternoon), I noticed a suspicious car pull over on Hurst and sit there for a while. I went home, called 911 and was put on hold for three minutes. I hung up and called our PHCA security phone. My call was answered on the first ring. Officer Lionel Rosser checked it out and called me back with his findings. He was very appreciative that I called immediately.
(Too often folks wait until after the incident to call. In this case, immediate attention got immediate results.)
As always the first thing to do is call 911. Then call the PHCA Hotline at 404-771-3812. If an officer is on duty--as Rosser was--you will get an immediate response. If no one is on duty at that time, leave a message and the officer on the next shift will get it and follow-up.
The Light of Day
Officer Chad Hannula has recently become the Burglary/Larceny unit supervisor in Zone-5. No more working the overnight shift; the new job is mostly days. I got to wear sunglasses every day last week, he said. This new schedule is great and the best part is Ive actually had dinner with my family five days in a row.
Were glad he will get to spend more time with his family and equally glad that he will continue his work with PHCA.
